To apply to CUI as a homeschool student, follow the steps below.

  1. Submit your application
  2. Submit your official High School Transcript
    Official transcripts must be sent in a sealed envelope with a signature from a parent, 法定监护人, or homeschool director/administrator. View a copy of a sample high school transcript.
    注意: CUI grants college credit for Credit by Exam Scores. Students may transfer in a maximum of 30 non-accredited credits by exam (AP, CLEP, DSST or IB 单位).

Recommended College Prep Curriculum

  • English: 4 years

注意: Applications received after February 15 are reviewed on a rolling basis, and it is recommended that students apply well in advance. Once your application is complete, it usually takes two weeks to receive an admissions decision, depending upon the time of year.

I don’t have an official high school transcript. What should I do?

We have included a sample transcript 给你的父母, 法定监护人, or administrator of your homeschool organization to create and sign, vouching for your 单位. Please have your transcript sent in a sealed envelope to:

注意: In the absence of a high school transcript, we will accept an official GED or the California Proficiency Exam, but this may limit scholarship opportunities without the presence of a GPA.

What does it mean for a transcript to be considered “official?”

The transcript should be sent in a sealed envelope with a signature from a parent, 法定监护人, or homeschool director/administrator.

The transcript should be organized by grade level (9th-12th) and year.

Completed and in-progress courses should be accompanied by credits, 单位, or hours and include a letter grade or a numerical grade.

What does it mean for a transcript to be considered “final?”

To be considered a final transcript, please include a graduation date, (month/day/year) and a signature from a parent, 法定监护人, or the director of your organization.

If I graduate from high school with a completed A.A. degree or over 30 单位 of college credit, am I still considered a freshman?

对入学, class standing (Freshman or Transfer) is determined by your high school graduation date. Please send any and all college transcripts along with your high school transcript for evaluation.
